Fantastic 747 Dawn Approach into Hong Kong!

To give some mid-week encouragement here is a wonderful Hong Kong Approach from Just Planes to help you relax after a very busy day. What impresses me is the team work as the crew call out frequencies, speeds, et al. One of them forgets the end of the frequency just given by ATC (Air Traffic Control) before being reminded.

Here is the answer to this weeks Mid Week encouragement question:

When flying a Manual approach & the PF (Pilot Flying ) goes to  TOGA (the TakeoffGoAround) switch to attempt a  Go Around, what is the Minimum Flap setting required?

1. Flaps 10

2. Flaps 25

3. Flaps 20

Answer on Page 271 of the original text for Aerowinx.

The answer is number 3, 20 degrees of flap are required for a successful Go-Around & the airframe/flight climbing successfully to a safe flight.

Till next time from a cold/warm Sydney,

Neil
