Here is todays Aerowinx question. The image as far as i can remember was taken from this website http://naoyafujiwara.cocolog-nifty.com/fssim/ and is for educational purposes only.

1. What phase of flight is the 747 in? what will the Flying Pilot have to do?

2 Which airport do you think this is ? I have my suspicions.

The answer is the aircraft is on final but is not on autopilot so a manual landing all the way. There also appears to be no Glideslope or visual approach slope indicator (VASI) a system of lights on the side of an airport runway threshold that provides visual descent guidance information.                                                                                                                                                                                   Another clue is the "white" readouts on the engine-indicating and crew-alerting system (EICAS) an integrated system used in modern aircraft to provide aircraft crew with aircraft engines and other systems instrumentation and crew annunciation show the Passenger Signs On, the Speedbrake is armed to dump lift on landing, and Autobrakes are on 3 showing a medium length runway & a fairly normal setting on approach, My guess is that this is the Schipol (EHAM designation) field in Amsterdam by the look and feel of it.

All of which can be experienced when you have the wonderful PSX10 software & only 24e days to a Christmas celebration
