Ansett F27 Flight VH-FNT circa 1980-81-before Aerowinx
This is the closest you`ll get to a real Fokker Friendship training film.
Before Aerowinx came along & airline training organisations ran MCC (Multi-crew coordination) Training programs in Australia almost everyone started out on the venerable Fokker F27 before transitioning to jets; there were no auto-throttles and you had to "fly the plane" to be successful.
I say most as it was rumored around the flying community that a Lindsay Dobbie whose father was a Qantas captain was trained for the Mc-Donnell Douglas DC9 jet from day one. When challenged by the Pilots Union TAA (Trans Australia Airlines) one of two domestic airlines at the time stated "we have done what we have done", although no one else was trained in a jet Type on commencement after that.
Think about the sophistication of Aerowinx & other flight crew training software & you`ll be amazed about how far we have come.
From a gusty Sydney with the possibility of speed constraints & undershoot shear

PS I unearthed this gem while researching another aviation documentary
