LLBG DEPARTURE & AFTERNOON DELIGHT

My apologies for not posting for some time but in keeping with my New Years promise I have flown the takeoff associated with the Aerowinx file 01 Departure 002 - Tel Aviv - Hong Kong.situ over the last couple of days; the challenge is the speed constraint of 170 kt at NOGAH is equal to V2 (safe climb speed with flaps 20). Do not exceed this limit by more than 10 kt.

Summary: 

On CLIMB keep the airframe at 170 knots & no more than 180 knots at the first major way-point, in short good aircraft control.

Three things to remember

1. Check the calibration of your joystick, you`ll need it to be successful

2. This exercise has a nasty habit of screaming STAB CONFIG on Takeoff so be prepared to check the STAB setting before takeoff or do a quick adjustment.

3. Because you`re flying in basically a 'military zone" the turns are very precise up to 30 degree direction change which is a bit more precise and more uncomfortable for any passengers on board than in other airport zones.

So what did I learn

This is actually a fun one to do & you find yourself even flying at night over time 1. KANDA your third way-point & the one before will keep you at 8, 000 feet for 12 track miles, which can be a little frustrating but the fun part is you overfly the field as you head out on route.

2. I didn`t look up the chart but flew the aircraft off the FMC (Flight Management Computer) so it must be a Middle Eastern security requirement.

3. Once on climb the STAB CONFIG can scream at you again so either find the STAB TRIM over ride & apply it or ask for ATC (Air Traffic Control) assistance,go to a safe area & attempt to resolve it.

HINT: I found just resetting Malfunctions didn`t cut it for this one so maybe that`s the way Hardy Heinlin & the programming staff wanted  this exercise to happen.

The other problem of course is you may find yourself going round in circles in the sky leading to the Autopilot disconnecting & then you`re in real trouble.True confession- I did crash it once until i worked out the STAB TRIM QRH (Quick Reference Handbook actions.
